[VIDEO] Digital tools used to build V&A Dundee

The V&A Dundee museum is set to open in the summer of 2018.

One of the UK’s largest museums, V&A Dundee will cost £45 million and will look out over the River Tay – the centrepiece of the city’s waterfront area.

A video has been released detailing the development of the iconic structure and BAM Construct UK, the contractor on the project, outline the challenges of ensuring accuracy was achieved in putting the structure together.

To do this, 3D modelling was used by extracting information through Point Cloud survey.

The video from BAM Construct UK and theB1M shows just how important digital construction tools were in the delivery of this complex scheme.
